Never mind U.S. High School students, how about us adults? Honestly, I didn't score well with this test either...
Let's not blame the U.S. educational system outright, I believe much of the blame has to be owned by us parents. Over the past 20 - 30 years, we've allowed ourselves to buy in to the notion that certain people know better than us. Sometimes that true, but God has endowed every single mom and dad with certain gut instincts about each of our particular children.
Read the post below and then think. We need to take back the educational system from the academicians and eggheads - otherwise known as the Department of Education (DEA), National Education Association (NEA), and American Federation of Teachers (AFT) - who are currently in control.
They DO NOT know better! And every parent who has ever had a special needs child knows this all too well.
What my teenager SHOULD KNOW. Forgive me for abdicating my responsibility as a parent.
