Swimming is not only great exercise, but it could save your life.
Swimming is a skill that I would argue, everyone needs to learn. Period. Not only is it a sport that you can have fun with by yourself (don't swim alone), but also with groups of friends.
What follows is a really good article from AL.com (Alabama) featuring Olympic gold medalist Cullen Jones.
Cullen earned his gold at the London Olympics in 2012 where he brought home gold medals in the 4x100 meter medley relay swimming the final freestyle leg (backstroke, butterfly, breast, and freestyle). Cullen also earned silver medals in the 50 meter freestyle and 4x100 meter freestyle relay.
