Whether you own a swimming pool or spa or just enjoy being near the water, we've got a couple of ideas for you for this Christmas & Gift Giving season.

Let's face it, all of us just have to have our cell phones within arms reach. Whether it's in the home, office, in the car (remember to use that hands-free device), or at leisure, we almost feel "naked" if we're not connected.

Many times, we're afraid - and justifiably so - when we have our phone near the water. The laws of chemistry work: water & electricity DO NOT go together.

Ask any of my friends or family & they'll tell you that I am NOT a man of superlatives. I cringe when people say that this thing is "awesome" or "unbelievable." The truth is that very few things in this world are or should be given "superlative status."

Where I am writing this blog from right now, does cross the line into superlative. On this balmy January 29, 2010, evening I am writing from the fabulous Moon Palace Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.  And it is incredible. Really!

I arrived this afternoon leaving behind Connecticut's sub-freezing temperatures & a snow storm the day before.

Immigration & customs were both a breeze. The transportation was right there. Temperatures in the low 80's (F). Friendly people everywhere. Who could ask for more?

Xel Ha, Natural Wonder

While on the 2009 BioGuard Enrichment Conference, BioLab treated us dealers to day at the remarkable Xel Ha Natural Wonder.  Located about 80 miles south of Cancun and about 20 miles north of the Tulum architectural site on the Mayan Riviera, Xel Ha is a natural inlet from the Caribbean Sea.

Now you can "step through" the aquarium glass and into the natural habitat of the local region.  It's just a beautiful spot.  You can make your day as relaxing or as exciting as you want.

Walk the nature trails that surround Xel Ha.  It's about a 3.5 to 4 mile walk (my estimate, at a brisk walk it took me almost an hour to walk completely around the lagoon) through tropical beauty.  You are encased in lush vegetation with dazzling flowers and flitting butterflies.
