I am convinced that when God created man and woman and placed them in the Garden, it was done purposefully.
I know that may sound like a "do ya' think?" statement, but when we look at gardens and gardening, no matter how big or small, gardens are like a microcosm of our lives. There can be beauty and order, annual and perennial favorites, symmetry and organization, rocks and weeds, bugs and pests.
There's a lot of beauty in our garden as you can see. This is just a small part. The perennial parts include day lilies (only a month off until blooming at the end of June), yellow and purple irises (as shown in the picture), hybrid day lilies in bright orange and yellow, mini day lilies, roses (a yearly pain), black-eyed Susans, tall purple phlox, daisies, mums, hibiscus (an interesting variety with pink flowers about 12" in diameter), peonies, daffodils, and several other varieties plus flowering bushes. Then the whole thing is accented with annuals in hanging baskets and among the perennials. My wife and I both enjoy working the garden - most of the time.
